At the start of the inspection, President Toshio Iseki and other members of the university's executive board gave us an overview of the university's efforts to strengthen its education and research system, the cutting-edge research activities being conducted at the Institute of Aquatic Organism Production Engineering, and the land utilization projects. Following this, we exchanged various opinions on these initiatives.
Afterward, we visited the Institute of Aquatic Organism Production Engineering at the Shinagawa Campus and received an explanation of surrogate parent fish techniques from Professor Ryosuke Yazawa. We also inspected the international mixed-residency dormitory "Seitaka Dormitory," which opened this April, before moving to the Etchujima Campus to see the hydrogen fuel cell ship "Raicho" developed by our university.NAfter boarding the ship for a tour, we received an explanation about the newly established "Next-Generation Ship Operation Technology Development Center" at our university.
