Awarding of the Blue Ribbon Medal

 The Blue Ribbon Medal is one of Japan's national honors, awarded to individuals or organizations who donate private funds (500 million yen or more for individuals, or 1,000 million yen or more for organizations) for the public good. Donations to the national government, local governments, or public interest organizations (organizations that aim for the public good, have legal personality, and conduct activities that significantly contribute to the promotion of the public good, and which are certified by the Honors and Decorations Bureau based on applications from ministries and agencies closely related to the organization) are eligible.

  • On September 26, 2018, a ceremony was held to present the Konju Medal to Ms. Ie Otsu, the wife of the late Professor Emeritus Kohei Otsu.
